Peruse
The
button under each textbox can be clicked to add a #TextboxName to the browser link.
The
button in the top left corner of each conversation box can be clicked to add a #ConversationName to the browser link.
These can be used to share textboxes and conversations with others, by copying the link with the #TextboxName or #ConversationName included.
The black boxes you see around groups of textboxes (such as this text) is a conversation box. This box indicates that separate textboxes may be connected via a single conversation.
Note: There's a lot more technical explanations that have a stricter definition of what is and isn't a conversation, but for general users, it's simply multiple textboxes uninterrupted.
You can currently sort by what character is speaking with the "Sort by character" dropdown menu at the top of the page.
You can also sort by what galaxy/area the textbox appears in with the "Sort by galaxy" dropdown menu at the top of the page.
Currently, you can not combine these two into the same search. That feature is planned.
Some text in the game changes depending on which character the player is currently playing as: Mario, or Luigi.
You can switch who the current character is (to subsequently alter the text) with "Select a player" dropdown menu at the top of the page.
Note: Entire textboxes that change drastically depending on the current character (i.e. more than just swapping the name) will always be visible.
Default selected is Mario.
Hungry Lumas determine the pricing of their Star Bits/coins via a variable.
You can change what this variable with the "Enter a price for the Hungry Lumas" textbox at the top of the page.
Note: On Peruse, this variable is shared between Hungry Lumas that ask for Star Bits and Hungry Lumas that ask for coins.
Default is "300", which is the price of the first Hungry Luma the player encounters that asks for Star Bits.
As with all pages on Peruse, all image icons have alt text for people using screen readers.
Background textboxes are not given alt text as to not interfere with the text itself.
If anyone encounters any problems with the alt text provided for an icon, please report it to me and I will fix it as soon as possible.
